Gomai River originates from the southern slopes of the Satpura Mountain Range at an elevation of 600 m at north latitude of 21°47' and an east longitude of 74 °46'. It traverses in a generally south-westerly direction for a distance of 58 km to join the Tapi from the right near village Parkasha. The drainage area of Gomai River is 1,148 sq. km. Gomai is the last major tributary which joins Tapi when it has flown for 481 km.
