The third stakeholder workshop on ‘ Liquid Waste Management in Rural and Urban Areas: Strategies to Scale-up Eco-Prudent Solutions’ is being organized at Centre for Urban Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Last date of registration is 20 May 2022.

The Inception cum Need Assessment Workshop under the project, “Innovation Centre for Eco-Prudent Wastewater Solutions (IC-EcoWS)”, convened on 8-9 August 2019 at National Institute of Technology (NIH), Roorkee
The project ‘Innovation Centre for Eco-Prudent Wastewater Solutions (IC-EcoWS)’ is funded by Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) Roorkee is the leading institute for implementation of this project, in collaboration with the project partners from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur and Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Ahmedabad.
The Centre is expected to provide a unique opportunity of exploring the vast potential of Natural Treatment System (NTS) in Indian conditions, and shall deliver the full spectrum of research, innovation, development of business model, capacity building, outreach and dissemination activities. The emerging concept of a Circular Economy in the field of wastewater treatment and reuse will also be explored at the Centre. It will also play a catalytic role to propagate and promote the NTS for a variety of applications in India, and help in promoting the concept of IWRM Planning in India.
